CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta posted video showing reporters were aggressively heckled at President Trump’s Make America Great Again rally on Tuesday night.
Acosta posted a video to Twitter from the Tampa, Florida, event which showed some in the crowd shouting and flipping the bird at reporters and camera crews in the press pool. One bearded man wore a “F— the Media” tee-shirt.
“Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa,” the CNN veteran tweeted. “I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way.
“The press is not the enemy.”

One bearded man in the crowd could be seen wearing a “F— the Media” tee-shirt, while another stared at the camera and shouted: “Stop lying.”
Trump’s rally on Tuesday was part of his campaign to support Rep. Ron DeSantis, the congressman representing Florida’s sixth congressional district, who is running in the Republican primary for Florida governor.
It came just two days after the president tweeted that he had met with New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger to talk about why “vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, ‘Enemy of the People.’ Sad!”
Had a very good and interesting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times. Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, “Enemy of the People.” Sad!

Reporting the Florida event, Acosta said: “One of the surprising things I heard tonight in Tampa is Trump supporters saying I should be on their team. Anybody remember when we were all on the same team? I do.”
He also responded to a tweet from Eric Trump that linked to a report about the crowd chanting “CNN Sucks” with the hashtag #Truth.
