Claire Danes Says ‘Homeland’ Will End With Season 8

But Showtime says it “has not made a decision” yet

“Homeland” star Claire Danes is calling it: the long-standing drama will end after Season 8, she said on the “Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM Wednesday.

“Yeah, that’s it,” she said, after Stern asked: “We have one more season after this, and then we’re wrapping it up?”

However, a representative for Showtime said, “The network has not made a decision beyond Season 8.”

Danes said she feels “really conflicted” about the ending of the show, noting that other than her marriage, she’s never worked on something longer.

“I mean, I’ll be ready. She’s a lot, this Carrie-freakin’-Mathison character,” she said. “I mean, she’s under constant duress. It’s a workout, so I’ll be ready for a reprieve from that.”

The star also revealed that she’s pregnant with her second child, saying she is “seriously preggo.”

“You’re the first person I’ve told,” she said to the radio host, but decided not to say whether the baby is a boy or a girl.
