Hollywood stars are once again taking over Vegas for CinemaCon — the annual industry event where studios haul out their shiniest goods for theatre exhibitors and press, from brand new trailers to star-studded red carpets and advanced screenings of the year’s most anticipated films.
Sony kicked off CinemaCon 2023 with appearances that included Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell’s rom-com ‘Anyone But You’, Jennifer Lawrence’s first R-rated comedy, ‘No Hard Feelings’ and Sony’s first R-rated Marvel movie in Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s ‘Kraven the Hunter.’
Next up, Warner Bros. celebrated life in plastic with an appearance from the cast and filmmakers behind Margot Robbie’s ‘Barbie‘ movie, and invited Oprah to introduce the cast of ‘The Color Purple’ musical, while Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet and director Denis Villeneuve welcomed audiences back to ‘Dune.’
