Christian Bale and Amy Adams are two hustlers trying to survive, while Bradley Cooper is an FBI agent hustling for respect in the second theatrical trailer for director David O. Russell’s latest Oscar contender, “American Hustle.”
The fictional crime drama focuses on a con artist (Bale) and his partner (Adams), who are forced to work with the FBI to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians – namely, the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden, New Jersey.

Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner plays the shady politician, while Jennifer Lawrence — last year’s Best Actress Oscar winner for her performance opposite Cooper in “Silver Linings Playbook” — plays Bale’s frustrated wife.
The star-studded drama lands in theaters on Dec. 25.
