Now that people have seen the film and the veil of secrecy on “Avengers: Endgame” is starting to lift, star Chris Pratt shared an emotional video from a day on set — a behind-the-scenes cellphone video he was very forbidden to take.
“This is a really illegal video,” Pratt says in the clip shared to Instagram early Monday. “Big trouble,” Chris Evans adds before throwing Pratt a fake gut punch.
In it, much of the “Avengers” cast is assembled together, some in makeup, some in plain clothes, and many others in the massive cast that made up the film’s final battle likely just out of sight. There’s Dave Bautista, Elizabeth Olson, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Danai Gurira, Pom Klementieff and Chadwick Boseman and Robert Downey Jr. rocking hoodies.
Pratt said any video was restricted, but he wasn’t about to let that stop him. We’re glad he was able to keep a secret.
“I remember being blown away in this moment on the @avengers set,” Pratt said. “Nobody was allowed to film anything on their phones. I said screw it. No rule was going to stop me from seizing this once in a lifetime opportunity to capture this collection of stars, a group that likely will never be in the same room again. We are so blessed.”
Much of the cast even chimed in on Pratt’s Instagram after watching it. Karen Gillan said that she and Zoe Saldana sent their stand-ins for the moment, Vin Diesel sent “all love,” and even “Shazam!” star Zachary Levi called the video “amazing.”
“Avengers: Endgame” made $1.2 billion globally in its first five days of release, an all-time record. So if you are one of the few people who have yet to see the film, “Endgame” is in theaters now. Watch Pratt’s Instagram video below:
