Cheryl Hines has been picked by CBS Films to direct their upcoming comedy “Revenge Wedding,” the studio announced Wednesday.
“Revenge Wedding” follows a woman who discovers that her wealthy fiancé is cheating on her shortly before their big wedding and decides to get back at him by enlisting her best friend and a band of miscreants to turn the wedding into a chaotic series of events for her beau. David White, Tamara Chestna, Keith Merryman, and David A. Newman share writing credit on the script, with Jordan Schur, Andrew O’Connor, Ray Marshall, and Suzanne Todd producing.
“Everyone who has ever been devastated by betrayal will revel in the heart and redemption in this funny adventure,” said Hines in a statement.
Hines is repped by WME and Larry Taube of Principal Entertainment LA. Mark Ross is overseeing the project for CBS Films.
