Comedian and television host Chelsea Handler came in for some whither criticism after a nasty, obscenity-laden tweet about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) that questioned the three-term senator’s sexuality and suggested that his support of President Trump could be the result of blackmail.
“Holy, f— f—. I just the video of trumps bipartisan ‘meeting’ yesterday,” she tweeted Wednesday evening. “Hey, @LindseyGrahamSC what kind of d–k sucking video do they have on you for you 2 be acting like this? Wouldn’t coming out be more honorable?”
Handler appears to be referencing Graham’s performance during Trump’s much-dissected public meeting with lawmakers on Tuesday to discuss immigration reform.
It’s unclear what specifically Handler found objectionable about Graham, who has never married and previously denied that he is gay.
Holy, fuck fuck. I just the video of trumps bipartisan “meeting” yesterday. Hey, @LindseyGrahamSC what kind of dick sucking video do they have on you for you 2 be acting like this? Wouldn’t coming out be more honorable?

The internet chattering class, however, had a lot of thoughts about Handler.
“Apparently homophobic slurs are ok as long as they’re against a Republican,” wrote one.
At least one prominent blue-check conservative, Chris Barron, said he had reported Handler to Twitter as a violation of the social media service’s terms of use — but did not expect much to come of it.
Just reported this explicitly anti-gay tweet. Odds on twitter doing something? Less than zero. If a conservative said this they would be suspended immediately. https://t.co/DqBodymPV8

“Chelsea Handler’s gay-baiting homophobic tweet is disgusting but not surprising. Liberals claim to be such great allies of gay people but they are often the first ones to use sexuality as an attack,” Barron told TheWrap. “Let’s be honest, if a conservative on twitter had said what she said they would have been banned for life — just ask Roger Stone.”
A spokesperson for Twitter declined to comment.
And it pretty much went from there.
I'm no @LindseyGrahamSC fan, but @ChelseaHandler is being straight up homophobic.
If a Republican said something like this, they'd be burning down the RNC… https://t.co/tGNM6brHgw

It’s not the first time Handler has caused trouble on the platform. Last year she raised eyebrows by seemingly calling for a military couple against President Trump.
