Following the tense new trailer for the seventh and final season of “True Blood,” HBO has released nine new images to satiate fans of the series before the season kicks off this summer.
The stills feature Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) and cast.

The trailer definitely sets an ominous and apocalyptic tone, complete with the usual crazy vampires and very specific references to FEMA, a government agency that has a not-so-wonderful reputation in the Gulf Coast ever since Hurricane Katrina hit.
The final season of “True Blood” will premiere on June 22 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
