ABC has picked up a Drew Barrymore-produced pilot for "Charlie's Angels" sure to more closely resemble the movie revamp than the blown-out '70s original series.
The remake will be set in Miami and provide a more "modern take" on the show, ABC says. (Wait, women fighting crime in silly and revealing costumes isn't modern?)
Barrymore, star of the 2000 big-screen adaptation and its sequel, will executive produce with Leonard Goldberg and Nancy Juvonen. No cast is attached, but the old logo (above) and theme song (below) hopefully are. Though maybe they should scratch the "litle girls" part.
