The long, national nightmare that is Charlie Sheen's lawsuit against his former bosses is nearly over — just in time for the premiere of the reconfigured "Two and a Half Men" and Sheen's Comedy Central Roast.
The ousted "Two and a Half Men" star is closing in on a settlement with Warner Bros. TV over his firing earlier this year, an indiviual with knowledge of the negotiations confirms to TheWrap.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Sheen will receive about $25 million in the settlement; he had been asking for $100 million. The suit was sent to arbitration, against Sheen's wishes, earlier this year.

The settlement comes at an ideal time for all parties, with CBS premiering the new, Sheen-free season of "Two and a Half Men" on Monday — the same night that Sheen's Comedy Central roast airs.

Sheen seemed extremely ready to play nice with his former employers during his appearance on Sunday night's Emmy awards. Before presenting a trophy to "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons, Sheen noted that he wished "nothing but the best" for "Two and a Half Men" this season, and posed for a picture with his successor, former "That '70s Show" actor Ashton Kutcher.
Warner Bros. Television had no comment for TheWrap on this story. Attorneys for Sheen and Warner Bros. TV did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
