A $25 million settlement didn't resolve all the issues between Charlie Sheen and his former "Two and a Half Men" bosses: Warner Bros., which produced the show, sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding the actor stop using its photos to promote his new FX series.
Sheen is accused of using photos of himself owned by Warner Bros. to promote "Anger Management," TheWrap has confirmed. The show is to debut in June.
As first reported by the Hollywood Reporter, Sheen distributed the photos at last month's NATPE conference to try to market the show to domestic and international buyers.
The letter also demanded that FX and the show's production company, Debmar-Mercury, not use the photos. Representatives for FX and Debmar-Mercury declined to comment, and Sheen's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Sheen sued Warner Bros. for $100 million following his "Two and a Half Men" firing, and received a $25 million settlement., covering back-end payments for Sheen's appearances on the show.
On "Anger Management," based on the 2003 Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson movie, Sheen will play a therapist with more troubles than some of his clients. Earlier this month, Selma Blair was cast as his character's therapist and Shawnee Smith was cast as his ex-wife.
