Ever wonder what a Wes Anderson movie would look like with Charlie Sheen in the starring role? The first trailer for "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III" should give you an idea, but don't strain your eyes looking for Anderson's name in the credits.
Roman Coppola — who wrote "The Darjeeling Limited" and "Moonrise Kingdom" for the indie auteur — directed this kooky comedy featuring Sheen as a "crazy, selfish" and "incredibly irresponsible" graphic designer whose life falls apart when his dream girl dumps him.

Not exactly a stretch for the actor but, given his reputation, he was probably the best man for the job.
And given his sitcom-star status, it's a refreshing sight to see him getting goofy with Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman on the big screen. After all, it's been a long time since Sheen has made America laugh without the help of a laugh track.
Could this be his rebirth as the movie star he used to be? If he keeps taking roles like this, maybe so.
