Twitter isn’t just a good tool for self promotion, it’s a great way to track down lost items — if you have enough followers.
Channing Tatum, who has 7.04 million of them, took advantage of the social media platform to find a bag he left in a New York City cab on Saturday.
“Dropped off at 42nd street in New York City and left my bag in the cab,” the “Magic Mike” star tweeted before officially calling upon Twitter for help. “Seriously, left my black backpack in a cab near NYC’s 42nd street. If you find it, email me at findmybag@channingtatumunwrapped.com. Thanks!”
On Sunday, Tatum took to Twitter thank a “good New York Samaritan” who returned the bag. Tatum, who was last seen on the big screen in “Jupiter Ascending,” will be back in theaters on July 1 when “Magic Mike XXL” is released.
To everyone who tried to help and to the good New York Samaritan who found my bag and asked for nothing in return, thank you. Thank you all!
