Under the deal — which will allow him to develop, produce and possibly star in scripted and unscripted projects — "Fuck You" singer Green and the network are negotiating over a comedy that would star the singer and would be based on his own life.

The multi-camera comedy would be about a successful recording artist and producer attempting to balance his career and personal life, and has its origins in Green's relationship with his ex-wife and children.

Green has been expanding from his roots as a recording artist and further into other ventures lately. In addition to a voice role in the animated film "Hotel Transylvania" and a role in this summer's music-driven drama "Sparkle," he will launch a residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with his stage show "Loberace" next year.
