CBS Films co-president Wolfgang Hammer has quietly shifted into a digital consulting role, TheWrap has confirmed. The studio move leaves Terry Press to preside over the company alone, which the current masthead confirms.

An individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that the transition actually happened a few weeks ago. Studio insiders say that while there was room for improvement before Hammer and Press took over, the film division’s track record has improved, seeing growth with projects such as “The Woman in Black,” “Last Vegas,” “The Kings of Summer,” and “Inside Llewyn Davis,” which earned the division the Grand Prix at Cannes as well as its first Oscar nominations; though not in any major categories.

The studio was launched by Les Moonves to create films, but eventually transitioned into acquisitions. Upcoming offerings include “What If” (August 8), “Pride” (September 19), and “The Duff” (February 20).
