CBS will start its fall season with "Survivor" on Sept. 19, letting NBC keep the early start it is getting on the other networks by launching shows during the Olympics. CBS will premiere its new shows, including "Partners," "Vegas," "Elementary," and "Made in Jersey" during the official premiere week of Sept. 24.
CBS, the most-watched network, is taking a traditional approach to premieres, and following a pattern of "Survivor" premiering the week before the offical start of the season. It opted not to compete with NBC in the summer, when the third-place network is debuting its new shows "Animal Practice" and "Go On" commercial-free during the Olympics in an attempt to get the jump on its competition.

CBS has previously announced plans to move "Two and a Half Men" from Mondays to Thursdays, where it will be paired with "Big Bang Theory." That should create a huge lead-in for the returning "Person of Interest" and "Elementary," the new Sherlock Holmes update that will follow it.
