The family of Casey Kasem has filed a missing persons report in the disappearance of the 82-year-old DJ, a representative for Kasem’s family told TheWrap.
Kasem’s daughter Kerri Kasem filed the report Wednesday with the Santa Monica Police Department, two days after a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ordered an investigation into the radio legend’s whereabouts. Kerri Kasem was granted temporary conservatorship.

“Kerri Kasem and family have officially filed a missing persons report with the Santa Monica Police Department. We will alert you as more information develops,” the family said in a statement.
The Kasem family has been involved in a contentious battle with Kasem’s wife, Jean, over visitation rights of the ailing radio and television personality. Jean Kasem has been moving Casey Kasem in and out of different hospitals and barring his children from visiting him. Jean Kasem has gone as far as having an armed guard stand by when Casey Kasem’s children visit.
