Legendary radio personality and voice actor Casey Kasem is missing, a representative for Kasem’s daughter Kerri confirmed to TheWrap.
Los Angeles Superior Court judge Daniel Murphy ordered an investigation earlier Monday into the 82-year-old Kasem’s whereabouts during a hearing where Kasem’s family was seeking temporary conservatorship over the entertainer, according to the Associated Press. Kasem has been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and is unable to speak.
An attorney representing Kasem’s wife Jean, Craig Marcus, told the judge that Kasem was out of the country, but couldn’t offer specifics at to where he might be. “I have no idea where he is,” Marcus said.

TheWrap reached out to Marcus, but he declined comment.
Kasem’s children and his wife Jean have been in embroiled in a battle over visitation rights with Kasem. A court complaint issued last week by Kerri Kasem’s attorney accused Jean Kasem of elder abuse for keeping him from his family and moving him to different hospitals without notice.
During the hearing Monday, the judge also appointed a doctor to look into Casey Kasem’s care, a move that Kerri Kasem said will reveal the truth about her father’s care.
In addition to his radio work, Kasem has also been a voice actor, most notably providing the voice of Shaggy in the “Scooby-Doo” cartoon series.
