Check out the week’s most emotionally reacted-to TV personalities and characters.
A Grammy-nominated rapper, a Japanese wrestler and a young singer had viewers talking passionately on social media over the past seven days.
The Wrap has partnered with Canvs, the emotion measurement company, for a weekly look at some of the characters and personalities that have TV viewers the most worked up on social media. The data below covers Jan. 24-30 and is drawn from the most emotionally reacted-to television programs, including broadcast, cable, streaming and PPV.
Unsurprisingly, the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, broadcast on CBS, inspired the most conversation of any program during the period measured, clocking in with an impressive 1,191,452 Emotional Reactions (ERs). The celebrity who drove the most conversation that evening was Cardi B, who performed “Finesse (Remix)” with Bruno Mars on stage. General consensus was that she killed it, although there will always be some haters in the crowd. Cardi was also up for two awards (Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song), but they both ended up going to Kendrick Lamar.
