Cara Delevingne Is Terrifying as ‘Suicide Squad’s’ Enchantress on Empire Magazine Cover (Photo)

The model-turned-actress appears alongside Jared Leto’s Joker and Will Smith as Deadshot in David Ayer’s upcoming movie

Following in the footsteps of her co-star Jared LetoCara Delevingne has graced the cover of Empire Magazine and given fans a first detailed look at the Enchantress from David Ayer‘s upcoming movie, “Suicide Squad.”

The model-turned-actress is almost unrecognizable in a tribal-style bikini and moon-shaped headpiece, with her terrifying eyes almost popping out of her head.

“She’s an ancient sorceress,” Delevingne told Empire. “A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out.” The creepy character takes over June Moone, who found more adventure than she bargained for while exploring a creepy cave. “June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way,” Delevingne said.

On Monday, Empire revealed a cover image of Leto surrounded by the words “Psycho” and “Killer,” with his shock of green hair almost perfectly in place, as are some newly-inked creepy tattoos.

The magazine features additional photos of Leto’s Joker as well as other cast members both in action and in portrait form, including Will Smith as Deadshot.

“Suicide Squad” was written and directed by Ayer and hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.

The new take on the comic book movie genre also stars Margot RobbieScott Eastwood, Ben Affleck, Jai Courtney, Viola DavisCommon, Ike Barinholtz and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, among others.
