Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ Set to Premiere in London

Highly-anticipated sci-fi flick screened Thursday in U.K.

James Cameron’s sci-fi extravaganza "Avatar" was getting its public premiere in London Thursday, and the movie industry is watching intently to see whether it will match the success of the director’s blockbuster "Titanic."

The 3-D epic about humans taking extraterrestrial form as they explore a distant world is reportedly one of the most expensive movies ever made, with a price tag well in excess of the $200 million spent to make "Titanic."
