Fox TV’s Calemzuk Named CEO of Shine Group Americas

Leaves his post as president of Fox Television Studios to take newly-created post at Elisabeth Murdoch’s company, where he’ll oversee Reveille

Emiliano Calemzuk is going from one Murdoch to another.

The Fox Studios head will join Elisabeth Murdoch's Shine Group in the newly created position of CEO Shine Group Americas.

Calemzuk, who has served as president of Fox TV Studios since 2007, will now oversee Reveille, the company responsible for bringing series "The Office," "The Biggest Loser," "Ugly Betty" and "MasterChef" to U.S. television.

He will also join Shine's executive board, and will begin his new post in Los Angeles in mid-September.

Calemzuk joins Shine after 12 years at News Corp., headed by Elisabeth Murdoch's father, Rupert.

In his most recent post as head of Fox, the studio produced such hits as USA Network's "Burn Notice" and "Saving Grace" for TNT.

From 2002 to 2007, Calemzuk served as president of Fox International Channels Europe. Before that, he served as vice president and deputy managing Director of Fox Latin American Channels, and held the post of general manager of Fox Kids Latin America.

Among his other duties at Shine will be to oversee all domestic operations and drive the company's expansion in the U.S.

"Emiliano is a world class creative executive, respected, innovative and entrepreneurial," Elisabeth Murdoch said in a statement, announcing his appointment. "He has excelled at News Corporation both as a broadcaster, establishing marketing leading pay TV networks in different continents, and as a global producer responsible for high quality, successful cable and network programming."

Calemzuk said in a statement, "I'm proud to leave Fox TV Studios as a profitable and healthy studio with a growing slate of successful and acclaimed programming."

Shine Group was founded by Elisabeth Murdoch in 2001 and last year produced 1,500 hours of scheduled programming and distributed over 3,000 hours of programming to 150 different territories.
