Caitlyn Jenner can’t wait to be “normal” and to “blend into society” in the first trailer for the E! docuseries “I Am Cait.”
When a friend off camera reminds the former Olympian that she is normal, Jenner responds, “Put it this way, I’m the new normal.”
Jenner, formerly “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Bruce Jenner, revealed herself to be a woman during a high-profile “20/20” interview in April, and unveiled her feminine appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair earlier this week.
It sounds like she’s happy to finally be herself out in the world in the “I Am Cait” trailer that debuted on Wednesday.
“So many people go through life, and they never deal with their own issues, no matter what the issues are,” Jenner said in the clip. “Ours happen to be gender identity. But how many people go through life and just waste an entire life because they never deal with themselves, to just be who they are?”
She also revealed that being a woman isn’t as easy at it looks.
“You go through all of this stuff, and you start learning kind of the pressure that women are under all the time about their appearance,” Jenner said. “I never had until a couple of weeks ago. I actually had a professional come in and do my makeup. What a difference.”
The E! series premiere July 26.
