NBC’s “Dateline” battled it out with Fox’s WWE “Friday Night Smackdown” for the ratings championship belt on Friday night. While Fox, unsurprisingly, scored in the key 18-49 demographic, it was NBC that took home the highest average total viewership with an average of 2.5 million.
The latest WWE matchup fought its way to a 0.5 demo rating and 2.2 million total viewers, which is the second-largest audience for the brand since July of this year. It comes on the heels of last week, when “Smackdown” drew its largest total audience in a year with 2.4 million tuning in.
ABC’s latest episode of “Shark Tank” also caught viewers’ eye, managing to also secure 2.5
