When Ilana is allergic to Abbi’s birthday dinner
In the Season 1 finale, “The Last Supper,” Ilana and Abbi go out to a fancy restaurant — that Beyonce and Jay-Z went to — for Abbi’s birthday. Ilana doesn’t want to put a damper on the festivities with something so silly as a seafood allergy. The night doesn’t go exactly as planned, but we’ll just say that things involve an Epipen and a condom.
When Abbi gets her wisdom teeth pulled out
In Season 2’s third episode, “Wisdom Teeth,” things get trippy when Nurse Ilana feeds Abbi a weed smoothie on top of her meds. Abbi escapes Ilana’s care, and heads to the only logical place to go when you’re high and have chipmunk cheeks from dental surgery: Whole Foods.
When Ilana falls for her doppelgänger
Episode 9 of Season 2 brings us two gloriously outrageous moments for Abbi and Ilana. After working at a coat check, Ilana meets a girl (played by Alia Shawkat) who looks juts like her. The two have an immediate connection… but it takes a while before Ilana realizes why.
When Abbi turns up with Kelly Ripa
The next moment from S2E9 focuses on Abbi and one of her heroes (no, it’s not Oprah), Kelly Ripa. Abbi returns Kelly’s coat to her Manhattan apartment to find that the talk show host likes to party hard.
When the pair cleans Fred Armisen’s apartment… in their underwear
The series premiere episode gives us one of the best moments that remains one of the most outrageous. In a hunt to raise money to go to a Lil Wayne concert, Ilana convinces Abbi to answer a weird Craigslist ad. When the BFFs show up, they have to clean a guy’s apartment (played by Fred Armisen)… in their underwear. But it gets even weirder: the guy refuses to pay them, because he’s a “baby.”
When they try to go to a wedding
In Season 1 Episode 8, the girls and the gang embark on a merry will-we-get-there adventure that is delightful and hilarious to behold. Abbi’s friend from college is in love with her brother, giving us serious Cersei Lannister vibes, and poor Lincoln gets stuck with a rental truck.
When they *almost* have a foursome
When Abbi and Ilana meet two DJ roomates at a high end party in Season 1 Episode 5, they think there’s no way the night could go wrong. But when both guys suggest a rooftop make-out things get… weird.
When Abbi gets stuck in an outhouse and Ilana gets stuck to the back of a truck
The premiere episode of Season 3 might just be one of the best half hours of television. On the way to a friend’s art show, Abbi gets stuck in an outhouse — that gets lifted by a crane while she’s in it. Then she has to run a truck down because Ilana, who is herself stuck in her own bike chain, gets hooked to it as it drives away… and pees her pants in the process.
