CBS Head of Current Programming Bridget Wiley Exits

Exec was with network and studio for 12 years

Bridget Wiley is leaving her post as executive vice president of current programs for CBS.

Wiley was at CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Studios for more than 12 years. She has led the current programming department since Glenn Geller became CBS entertainment president in September 2015.

The move follows the network’s announcement earlier this week that CBS head of scheduling Kelly Kahl is taking over for Geller as entertainment president. Geller suffered a heart attack two months ago and has since been on medical leave.

The parting of ways between CBS and Wiley is said to be amicable, with Wiley seeing Geller’s exit as an opportunity for her to pursue a new path.

Wiley worked at 20th Century Fox prior to her time at CBS.
