Bradley Cooper to Star in ‘The Words’

Jeremy Irons is in talks to co-star in the drama, which is being pre-sold at the European Film Market in Berlin

Word is, Bradley Cooper will star in "The Words," a drama written and directed by "Tron Legacy" writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal.

Variety reported Wednesday night that Cooper, who starred in 2009's "The Hangover" and the 2001-2006 television series "Alias," will play the lead role and that Jeremy Irons is in talks to co-star.

The movie is about a writer who steals another man's work and must face the consequences.

Lisa Wilson's Parlay Films is pre-selling the project at the European Film Market in Berlin.

The film is being produced by Michael Benaroya ("Margin Call") with Animus Films' James Young ("Homecoming") and Serena Films' Tatiana Kelly. Kelly and Young also are producing "Decoding Annie Parker."

Also from "Margin Call" are executive producers Laura Rister and Cassian Elswes. The two executive produced "Margin Call," as well.

Irons appeared as John Tuld in "Margin Call."
