‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ First Trailer: Watch Rami Malek Rock You as Freddie Mercury (Video)

Fox film, mired in director drama, finally shows us Malek’s take on Freddie Mercury

We see a little silhouetto of a man in glittery spandex, as early Tuesday morning 20th Century Fox Film snuck out a teaser trailer for “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The long-gestating and anticipated biopic of iconic rocker Freddie Mercury is coming to theaters this fall, played by “Mr. Robot” Emmy-winner Rami Malek.

“The only thing more extraordinary than their music is his story,” the trailer promises, referring to English rockers Queen and their frontman Mercury, respectively.

Glam costumes, ’70s shaggy hair, insults hurled at record executives, the 1985 Live Aid concert and opulent mansion parties fly by in the teaser clip — illustrating a lush tapestry on a film rocked by controversy after the studio fired director Bryan Singer last fall and replaced him with Dexter Fletcher.

There’s also plenty of hits jammed in here, including “Killer Queen,” “We Will Rock You” and of course, the opus “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The film was produced by Graham King, among many others including Arnon Milchan and Robert De Niro. It co-stars Mike Meyers, Lucy Boynton and “Game of Thrones” star Aidan Gillen.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” hits theaters on November 2.
