Only kings understand kings. But that doesn't mean they want to do business together.
The new "Boardwalk Empire" trailer that debuted over the weekend suggests that Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) has managed to offend yet another volatile gangster.

Last season, it was Gyp Rosetti (Bobby Cannavale). This season, Jeffrey Wright joins the show as Dr. Valentin Narcisse. And he seems a little bit — well, the name last is a tipoff.
First there's his insistence on being called "Dr." — and how much he seems to enjoy addressing Nucky as "Mr." Then there's that mustache. And how he considers himself a king.
We saw a clip of Narcisse's "only kings understand kings" speech in an earlier teaser trailer. But this time around, we also get a plot point: Nucky doesn't seem so interested in a union between their kingdoms.
How will Dr. Sensitive respond to that slight? You've read "A Clash of Kings," right? Or at least been watching "Game of Thrones"?
We don't expect the kings on "Boardwalk" to work out their differences any more peacefully than the kings on their fellow HBO series.
But we're also sure nothing will work out as we expect. There's a reason we called "Boardwalk" the best show of 2012.
