Frank Coraci crafted the first Adam Sander-Drew Barrymore romance, “The Wedding Singer,” a landmark comedy that established the chemistry shared by its two leads.
Sandler was eager to make a romantic comedy at the time so he could introduce himself to new fans and demonstrate a little range. Coraci and Sandler were college friends, and the movie marked their first feature together.
