The first documentary about the legal saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will premiere on Monday in the U.K., according to multiple media reports. “He Said, She Said” comes from ITN Productions.
The 90-minute cut of the doc will premiere on Channel 5 on Monday at 10 p.m. GMT. As for the project’s U.S. premiere, a condensed 60-minute version of the project, which will be titled “In Dispute: Lively vs. Baldoni,” has been acquired by Investigation Discovery. That version is set to air on March 31 at 8/7c p.m. on ID and will be available to stream on both Max and Discovery+.
“This story has captivated the world, perpetuated by social media which is still gaining momentum. It feels really pertinent for us as a channel to be making this film within the context of #MeToo,” Denise Seneviratne, Commissioning Editor at CHannel 5, said in a statement to press. “We’re very happy to be working with ITN on this UK feature length version.”
It’s unlikely that this will be the last documentary that will examine this particular Hollywood feud. The “It Ends With Us” drama started in December of 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, accusing the director of sexual harassment and intimidation. As part of that lawsuit, Lively accused Baldoni’s camp of creating a smear campaign against her, which The New York Times explored in its exposé “We Can Bury Anyone: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine.”
For his part, Baldoni has denied these allegations and countered with a $400 million countersuit that accused Lively of defamation. He and others also sued The New York Times for $250 million for the paper of note’s article (though that suit was eventually dropped and the Times’ involvement was then amended into his original claim).
Most recently, Lively was granted a confidentiality order to protect “highly personal and intimate information” that will allow some materials in the case to remain “attorneys’ eyes only.”
The trial between Lively and Baldoni is set to take place in March of 2026. The documentary promises to look into evidence on both sides of the case as well as the response to the battle on social media.
“He Said, She Said” is executive produced for ITN Productions by Mike Griffiths in London and Bruce Kennedy in New York. It was also commissioned by Denise Seneviratne at Channel 5. Blue Ant Studios, the company involved in the international rights for “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy,” is overseeing global licensing and distribution.
