The Black List will host a live table read of Stephany Folsom’s 2013 script about a government agent who works with legendary director Stanley Kubrick, marking the screenwriting service’s official entry into the live events business.
Kathryn Hahn, Jared Harris and Thomas Sadoski will all take part in the table read of Folsom’s script, which appeared on the eponymous list of the year’s most popular unproduced screenplays.

The script, titled”1969: A Space Odyssey, Or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon,” follows a White House Public Affairs assistant (Hahn) who hires Kubrick (Harris, Lane Pryce from “Mad Men”) to fake the moon landing in case technical problems arise.
Sadoski will play NASA administrator Julian Scheer.
“Our mission with the Black List has always been celebrating great screenwriting and the writers who do it, and presenting this script to an audience with actors like Kathryn, Jared, Thomas, and Shannon gives us an extraordinary opportunity to continue that mission in a very exciting way,” Black List founder Franklin Leonard said in a statement. “Get your tickets now. It’s going to be a hell of a night.”
The event will take place at the Los Angeles Theater, a downtow location that opened its doors in 1931.
