Devin Faraci is stepping down from his position as the editor-in-chief of movie blog Birth.Movies.Death after being accused of sexual assault.
“I’m sure many of you have heard that Devin has stepped down as editor-in-chief of Birth.Movies.Death. I’m here to assure you that the site and magazine will continue, with a team of smart, passionate writers dedicated to bringing you the best in pop culture news and conversation today,” managing editor, Meredith Borders said in a statement posted on the site. “Devin built this site into something we’re proud to continue and grow in his absence. We are a community, and you are a crucial part of that community. We’re eager to move forward, together, with all of you.”
After Trump’s “Access Hollywood” tape leaked on Friday, Faraci took to Twitter to post, “The most telling thing about the Trump tape? He wasn’t talking with his best friends. He was boasting to a TV host.” The next day, a woman under the Twiter handle @spacecrone, tweeted, “quick question: do you remember grabbing me by the p—y and bragging to your friends about it, telling them to smell your fingers?”
Faraci responded, “I do not remember this. I can only believe you and beg forgiveness for having been so vile.”

Since Sunday’s exchange, @Spacecrone has been extremely vocal on Twitter, responding to people who don’t believe her and stating that she “didn’t do it to be vengeful.”

Faraci got his start on movie fan site Chud, but left in 2010 to launch the website, Birth.Movies.Death with Alamo Drafthouse’s financial backing. His reviews are well known in the film industry.
Birth.Movies.Death has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
