Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti make a “declaration of war” on each other Sunday, when the Showtime Original Series “Billions” debuts.
“Billions” pits U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) against hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis) in an intense feud between two powerful New York figures. And much like the East River skyline on the 4th of July, there will be fireworks.
Before their battle begins, however, Axelrod has to do some house-cleaning.”You think this is a joke? I trusted you with my name and my capital — and you f-cked me,” the Axe Capital boss yells on a crowded office floor.
Rhoades may appear more legitimate, but his temper is no lighter.
In the above trailer, obtained exclusively by TheWrap, Giamatti’s character screams into the phone: “You wouldn’t know the right thing to do if it kneeled-down and sucked your tiny, goddamn …”
You’ll have to tune in to figure out what that cut-off final word could possibly be. Later, the fiery prosecutor promises to “put [Axelrod] on the rack and stretch him.”
