The man behind “The Biggest Loser” has gained a new business partner.
“Biggest Loser” creator Dave Broome has signed a two year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television to create and produce unscripted shows through his company, 25/7 Productions.

In addition to the NBC hit “The Biggest Loser,” Broome’s credits include the Univision series “Dale Con Ganas,” for which he partnered with Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s company Estefan Enterprises, and ABC Family’s “The Vineyard.”
“Dave has a great track record of producing captivating unscripted series that resonate with viewers,” said Sony Pictures Television executive vice president, U.S. reality and syndicated programming Holly Jacobs. “His understanding of the reality business and creativity make him an ideal partner, so we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”

Sony Pictures Television’s unscripted slate currently includes “Shark Tank,” “The Sing-Off,” “The Queen Latifah Show” and “The Dr. Oz Show.”
