‘Big Brother’ Simultaneously Announces Season 13 Contestants, Reminds Us That It Is Still on the Air

CBS unveiled its new batch of fame-seeking hopefuls

CBS announced the names of "Big Brother" contestants participating in the 2011 season Thursday, and concurrently reminded us that the show is still on the air.

Shockingly, the invasive reality series, which throws a bunch of fame-seeking morons into a house and tapes their every move, pulled down 7.9 million total viewers for its season 12 finale last year.

The contestants for season 13, which kicks off Thursday, July 7 at 9 p.m. ET, are:

Kalia Booker, 30, a writer
Porche Briggs, 23, a VIP cocktail waitress
Dominic Briones, 25, a college student, Cassi Colvin, 26, a model (pictured), Lawon Exum, 39, a legal file clerk, Keith Henderson, 32, a human resources manager, Shelly Moore, 41, an outdoors industry executive, and Adam Poch, 39, a music inventory manager.

Additionally, CBS announced that some of the "most dynamic duos" in the show's history will be added into the mix during the premiere episode. We can't wait!

Ricky Gervais savaged the program on the series finale of "Extras," an extremely satisfying moment of television that we're more than happy to provide for anyone still intent on watching the awful, awful turd that is "Big Brother," which truly represents the worst that TV has to offer.
