With “The Big Bang Theory” preparing to end its run at the end of its current 12th season, things are literally breaking down where the CBS sitcom is concerned — and series star Johnny Galecki chronicled the process in a behind-the-scenes look that he shared with fans on Tuesday.
Galecki hit up Instagram to share video of the “Big Bang Theory” set in a largely deconstructed state, with stacks of boxes making it clear that it’s moving-on tme.
“Breaking down the @bigbangtheory_cbs sets on Warner Bros Stage 25,” Galecki wrote of the video. “Coincidental soundtrack apropos.”
The soundtrack in question: The Beatles’ “Help!” — which stands as one of pop music’s most moving reflections emotional distress.
Galecki’s behind-the-scenes glimpse prompted responses suggesting that fans might be on the verge of breaking down themselves.
“So sad!! I miss you already!” one fan wrote, who added, “What did you get to keep? ”
“This is so sad,” echoed another fan. “Thank you guys for bringing laughter and joy for the past 12 years. You guys are amazing.”
“The Big Bang Theory” is set to end its run with an hour-long series finale on Thursday, May 16 from 8 to 9 p.m. ET/PT.
