Looks like “The Big Bang Theory” star Melissa Rauch made a friend in a high place on Monday.
Rauch, who plays Bernadette on the hit CBS sitcom, offered fans a sneak peek at an upcoming, star-studded episode of the series on Monday, along with a jaw-dropping lesson in perspective.
Rauch took to her Instagram account on Monday to share photos of herself with basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who guest-stars on an upcoming episode.
In the photo, Abdul-Jabbar (7 feet, 4 inches) comically towers over Rauch (4 feet, 11 inches), who stands about waist-high to the former Los Angeles Laker.
Rauch’s message accompanying the photos makes a mock (we’re assuming) pitch to Magic Johnson for a spot on the Lakers.
“Dear @magicjohnson I know you have a lot of big calls to make this week, so in the hopes that it will increase my value before the @nba trade deadline….here are some photos that clearly demonstrate what an asset I would be as a (very) Small Forward for the @lakers,” Rauch wrote.
The actress continued, “And yes, as you can see, I have the endorsement of my personal coach and new friend that I had the pleasure of working with today @bigbangtheory_cbs the man, the myth, the legend KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR!!”
According to CBS, Abdul-Jabbar appears on the Feb. 21 episode of the series, currently in its 12th and final season.
“When the gang finds out Wil Wheaton hosts a celebrity Dungeons and Dragons game involving William Shatner, Joe Manganiello, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kevin Smith, deception and betrayal are the path to make it to the one open seat,” an episode description reads.
Meanwhile, Rauch’s co-star, Kunal Nayyar, offered his own glimpse of the upcoming episode, sharing a photo of the “Big Bang Theory” cast posing with Abdul-Jabbar, Shatner, Wheaton, Manganiello and Smith.
“Who said Monday’s [sic] sucked?” Nayyar wrote of the image.
See Rauch and Nayyar display the long and short of it in the photos below.
