The latest trailer for “Better Call Saul,” AMC’s prequel to Vince Gilligan’s “Breaking Bad,” gives us the first (albeit very short) look at the return of Dean Norris’ Hank Schrader.
For those who may not remember, Schrader was the DEA agent who also happens to be the brother-in-law of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White. During the Television Critics Association press tour, AMC announced that Norris, along with Steven Michael Quezada, who played Schrader’s partner, Steve Gomez, would make an appearance during the fifth season.
The inclusion of the characters makes sense considering the two’s lengthy history will Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman on “Breaking Bad.”

“Better Call Saul” returns Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m., airing after a new episode of “The Walking Dead.” The series will then air another new episode on Feb. 24 at 9 p.m., its normal time slot. The week before, AMC will premiere the “Breaking Bad” sequel film, “El Camino.”
Here is the logline for the fifth season:
In the 10-epsiode fifth season of “Better Call Saul,” Jimmy McGill’s (Odenkirk) decision to practice law as “Saul Goodman” creates unexpected and profound waves of change for those in his orbit.
AMC has renewed the series through Season 6, which will also be the show’s last.
The 13-episode final season is set to air in 2021.
