“The Truman Show” (1998)
“The Truman Show,” known as one of Jim Carrey’s most notable films, follows the life of a man named Truman Burbank. No, literally. He has no idea he’s part of a massive live broadcast centered on his life. As he’s followed by hidden cameras and led on by rotating characters, he slowly realizes the truth. But he’ll have to decide how he’ll confront the people behind the cameras.

“True Grit” (2010)
It’s the 15th anniversary of the Coen Brothers’ Josh Brolin-led Western. The film is about a 14-year-old farm girl who enlists a trigger-happy, lush of a lawman (Jeff Bridges) to help her avenge the death of her father by taking out his murderer, an outlaw named Tom Chaney (Brolin)

“Fight Club”
This twisty, action-packed film delivers some of Edward Norton and Brad Pitt’s most iconic performances. In David Fincher’s gritty tale, a depressed man (Norton) struggling with insomnia meets a strange salesman (Pitt) and ends up living with him in his run-down house after his apartment is destroyed. The two then craft the idea to start a fight club that includes men who are also fed up with their lives.

“Akeelah and the Bee”
It’s our girrllll, Keke Palmer. “Akeelah and the Bee,” which serves as the multifaceted actress’s breakout role, is about a young girl who embarks on a mission to win the National Spelling Bee. Ignoring her pessimistic mother and her unsupportive classmates, she signs up for contest. With the help of her teacher, she finds her to the finals, where a new challenge meets her.

“Anora” (2024)
The Oscar-winning romantic whirlwind has just as much drama as it does laughs and thrills. Mikey Madison stars as Anora, a stripper in New York City who unsuspectedly meets and marries an oligarch. But, her Cinderella love story becomes threatened when his parents head out to NYC to put an end to the matrimony.

“My Cousin Vinny”
Joe Pesci plays Vinny Gambini in Jonathan Lynn’s comedic crime film “My Cousin Vinny.” He’s a lawyer in New York who’s never won, but is enlisted by his teen cousin Bill (Ralph Macchio) to represent him in court after being accused of murder. On top of never winning a case, Vinny has also taken on a criminal, only having ever tried personal injury cases. Dale Launer penned the script and Marisa Tomei won an Oscar for her performance.

“Anger Management”
Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson team up in the hilarious comedy-drama “Anger Management.” After a man named Dave Buznick (Sandler) has a bad run-in during a plane trip he’s sent to anger management classes where he meets unorthodox teacher Dr. Buddy Rydell, whose curriculum involves lots of confrontation. Tensions rise after the teacher decides to live with Dave to help him control his inner aggression.
