BermanBraun named former Buzzmedia manager Gillian Sheldon as online marketing executive, overseeing audience engagement, the company announced Friday.
Sheldon previously served as the vice president of marketing and communications at Buzzmedia and worked as a spokeswoman for Celebuzz.com.
She also headed marketing, publicity and sales for pop culture brands like Idolator, Buzznet as well as the personal blogs of reality television stars Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
“Gillian’s experience in digital branding will be an enormous asset to us,” Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, the media company's founders, said in a statement. “She is a marketing visionary with a true passion for developing innovative programs that will drive traffic to our sites. We are so pleased to bring her onboard and look forward to her contributions to our many brands.”

Before joining Buzzmedia, Sheldon ran several digital properties for Warner Bros.' Telepictures Productions, including momlogic.com and ExtraTV.com.
Prior to that, she helped found and develop the brand for TMZ.com and TMZ TV after starting her career as a news assignment editor in Seattle. Sheldon soon moved to Los Angeles to help TMZ founder Harvey Levin launch the Celebrity Justice site, which evolved into TMZ.
“I am especially grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside Gail and Lloyd," Sheldon said in a statement. "They are pioneers in this space, and share my passion of combining traditional and new media platforms. The future is extremely bright for this company, and I am so excited to be along for the ride.”
