Benjamin Bratt will become a series regular on ABC's medical drama "Private Practice," according to the network. The former "Law & Order" actor will appear on the series' May 19 season finale and will come on board full-time during the show's fifth season.
Bratt recently starred in A&E's "The Cleaner" and guest-starred on an episode of "Modern Family" last year.
The network did not have any details about the nature of Bratt's new character.
Bratt's addition to the cast comes following last month's announcement that "Private Practice" star Audra McDonald is leaving the series at the end of this season, in order to spend more time in her family in New York.
