Spike TV released a new trailer for the upcoming event series “Tut” on Wednesday.
In the trailer, royal adviser Ay (Sir Ben Kingsley) tells a young King Tutankhamun (Avan Jogia) that he can trust no one as he establishes himself as the ruler of Egypt.
Spike’s “Tut” recounts, for the first time on television, a dramatized saga of King Tut, his rise to power, and his struggle to lead Egypt to glory. Meanwhile his closest advisers, friends and lovers scheme for their own nefarious interests.
The series also stars Sibylla Deen, Alexander Siddig, Kylie Bunbury, Peter Gadiot, Iddo Goldberg and Nonso Anozie. The three night event series premieres July 19 at 9/8c.
