NBC has found the subject of its next adventure in event programming.
The network is developing an event series about The Beatles, from “The Tudors” team of Michael Hirst, Ben Silverman and Teri Weinberg, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap on Friday.

The eight-episode series, which would tell the story of Liverpool’s most famous foursome, will be written and executive produced by “Tudors” creator/executive producer Hirst, with “Tudors” executive producers Silverman and Weinberg also on board to executive produce.
The Fab Four project follows NBC event programming such as “The Sound of Music Live.” which proved to be a hit for the network in December, as well as the miniseries adaptation of “Rosemary’s Baby,” which premiered to disappointing ratings in May.
