It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
“Man of Steel” stars Henry Cavill and Amy Adams allowed themselves to be doused with ice-cold water Tuesday while in full costume on the set of the upcoming comic book sequel “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Adams challenged six of her siblings to take the ALS Ice Bucket Plunge before getting wet, but Cavill stayed silent, stoic and Superman-esque. At least until it started raining when both were doused with an initial bucket of ice water.
When Adams left the frame, Cavill was forced to fend for himself. Crew members proceeded to pour more ice water buckets (of increasing size) onto his head.

“Uh… Okay… Oh My Goodness,” said Cavill while successive garbage cans filled with ice water were dumped on him. “Ahh. So Cold,” he added.
Adams and Cavill are just the latest Hollywood celebrities to help raise funds and awareness for ALS, a neurodegenerative disease often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. As TheWrap previously reported, the ALS charity has received millions in donations in the past few weeks thanks to so many people completing the challenge.
