George Clooney took viewers of the Democratic National Convention Thursday night through a glossy history of President Barack Obama's past four years in office.
Unlike Clint Eastwood, who made a stir with his empty chair debate at the Republican National Convention last week, Clooney didn't appear at the party gathering in the flesh. Instead the "Up in the Air" star lent his voice to a video biography of the 44th president.

The film emphasizes such Obama administration highlights as the automobile industry bailout and the killing of Osama bin Laden while gliding over setbacks like the debt ceiling fiasco. It also features White House staples like Vice President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton testifying to the president's resolve and love of country.
"We have a long way to go, but with every new beginning, every homecoming, every step forward, we remember who we are," Clooney says in the video.
