The first “Bad Santa 2” teaser promises the sequel won’t stray too far from the original R-rated comedy that enchanted audiences 13 years ago.
Billy Bob Thornton returns as the beloved mall Santa who is the furthest thing from Father Christmas there is. The first preview, in fact, shows the seasonal employee sleeping on the job.
“Bad Santa 2” follows Thornton’s criminal character as he and his mom attempt to fraud a charity out of money.
Broad Green Pictures is releasing the comedy directed by Mark Waters (“Mean Girls”) in theaters Nov. 23.
