The Bad Boys are rolling back to the big screen. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are teaming up again “one last time” for the action and comedy sequel, titled “Bad Boys for Life.”
Columbia Pictures is releasing the film which reunites Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) in the stylized franchise on Jan. 17, 2020.
The new trailer opens in slow motion, with Smith slowly stepping out of an incredibly slick Porsche, only for Lawrence to open his door and bang it right into a fire hydrant.
But the stunts and the jokes don’t stop there. Among some of the other heart stopping, over the top action sequences this time around include the two driving that Porsche through a crowded mall.
“We’re not just black, we’re cops too,” Lawrence says from the passenger seat. “We’ll pull ourselves over later.”
The two look like they’re having a ball. And why wouldn’t they? It’s their reunion for the first time in over 15 years. The first “Bad Boys” film, directed by Michael Bay, opened in 1995 and was followed by “Bad Boys II” in 2003. The two films together grossed $414.7 million worldwide, and the pair have been itching to re-team for years.
Jerry Bruckheimer is returning also to produce the film, but this time out, co-directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are taking over for Bay. Joe Pantoliano and Vanessa Hudgens also co-star.
