ABC released a new teaser for “The Bachelorette,” and it features the first clips we’ve seen of Clare Crawley’s season… including a steamy kiss with a certain heavily-talked-about someone.
And yes, this man knows the meaning of R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
Crawley plants a big ole’ kiss on none other than Dale Moss, the man she’s rumored to have left the show for early on during the filming of her season, prompting “Bachelor” alum Tayshia Adams to be brought in as her replacement.
Watch the promo for the zoom-in at the 27-second mark — right when Keke Palmer sings “Ooh your kisses, sweeter than honey” — to see what just might be true love’s smooch.
Though ABC and WBTV have not commented on those rumors, fans have come up with their own evidence to back up this theory. Texts sent to Adams’ phone in early August bounced back, indicating that she was subject to the rules of “Bachelorette” production which don’t allow participants to use their phones. Crawley, however, was caught liking (and quickly un-liking) a tweet about Tayshia’s casting, indicating that she did have access to social media and was no longer on the show.
Tuesday’s promo also has audio of Crawley saying, “I know what I’m looking for, and I’m so ready for this.”
The Aretha Franklin motif in the teaser is a little nod to Crawley’s first time on the franchise back when she was a contestant on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season in 2013. She famously told Galavis that she wouldn’t want her children to have a father like him, and that she wants — you guessed it — “respect.”
