"Bachelor" creator Mike Fleiss has signed on to become the new executive producer of The CW’s new "H8R," which brings together celebrities and fans who despise them.
The series will be produced by Fleiss’ Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Preview clips unveiled to advertisers in May featured Kim Kardashian and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi trying to win over their haters.
"This is an exciting show for a number of reasons. But to me, what gives 'H8R' legitimate breakout potential is that it is truly original. So much reality TV is completely derivative. Not 'H8R,'" said Fleiss. "I guess you can say I’m a ‘h8r’ of lame, derivative programming."
The show, premiering Sept. 14 and airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m., is hosted by Mario Lopez.
Fleiss joins "H8R" creators Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey and Jeremy Spiegel (both from "Extra"), and co-executive producer Mike Harney ("Howie Do It").
